Why are your hourly labour rates higher than some independent garages?

Our rates can be higher than some independent garages/repair facilities, and this is the same for all franchised dealerships. There are many reasons why this is the case, but here are some of the more important ones for you:

  • Our technicians are factory trained and specialize in servicing Kia and Nissan vehicles - this enables us to not only repair issues more quickly, but also with greater reliability
  • As a professional dealership, we have a full range of modern diagnostic and repair tools to ensure everything we do is to the highest standards
  • Our goal is to maintain each and everyone one of our customers for the life of their vehicle, and we aim to do this through quality service in a timely manner
  • Whenever possible, we will address any issues under warranty to make sure you pay as little as possible

How can I understand the coverage of my warranty?

All of our new and many of our used vehicles come with a warranty to provide you additional peace of mind. Warranties can be displayed in many different ways but are often listed as ‘5 year/100,000 kms’. This means that the warranty will cover the vehicle for 5 years or until the vehicle reaches 100,000 kms, whichever comes first. As warranties may vary, we recommend getting in touch with one of our staff members to day to find out more about your specific coverage.

What does a typical warranty usually cover?

As there are many different types of warranty, we recommend getting in touch with one of our friendly staff members to find out the best information specific to you. However, there are some general items you can use as a baseline. A comprehensive or ‘bumper to bumper’ warranty generally covers everything that may go wrong with the vehicle outside of regularly scheduled maintenance. A powertrain warranty will typically cover any defects related to the engine and transmission of the vehicle.

What about warranties on used vehicles?

As every used vehicle is unique, it’s best to ask one of our friendly staff members for the information specific to a vehicle that you are interested in. Warranties are generally transferable as long as the vehicle is within the limitations of the warranty, to newer used vehicles may have the balance of their factory warranty remaining.

What is involved in maintaining a warranty?

It’s the owner’s responsibility to perform regularly scheduled maintenance for their vehicle. This includes fluid changes and other shorter lifespan elements of the vehicle. You can bring your owner’s manual in for one of our helpful staff members to review the schedule for your vehicle with you.

What else is important to know?

If something does go wrong with the vehicle, it is important to bring it to the dealerships attention as soon as possible. Whether this is a major issue or just the check engine light coming on, it is the owner’s responsibility to notify the dealership about any potential warranty issue right away.

Does a warranty cover everything?

Again, as warranties can differ we recommend getting in touch with one of our knowledgeable staff members to find out what a specific warranty’s details are. However, generally warranties will cover the parts and labour costs of any unexpected service but require the owner of the vehicle to cover regular maintenance.
